Version2

Built entirely with Resolve's native tools with multiple updates

Uses a more accurate transform than the commonly used Rec709/Cineon input.

Instead the powergrade is built off of an ADX10 transform (closer to a film scan) that the Resolve 2383 LUT is designed to expect.

  • Resolve's "Film Looks" LUTs are all designed to expect film scans. A common workflow is transform footage to Rec709/Cineon, but this yields incorrect color mapping due to film's unstable primaries.

Key features

  • Input clamp for values below zero, preventing artifacts and negative values
  • Per-channel or global density adjustments
  • Prioritized to focus on skin tones, designed around Alexa primaries.
  • D65 WP - Optional white point adjustment. Adjusts the white point to be the D65 white point of rec709
  • RGB tonal curves of the 2383

Apply the powergrade at the end of your pipeline, and grade as usual upstream.

Output is Rec709 / Gamma 2.4
